Guide to Handling Verification Tickets

This document outlines the standard procedure for managing user verification requests. These tickets are separate from the main Modmail system and are handled in their own dedicated channels.

The Verification Workflow

  1. User Opens a Ticket: A user starts the process in the 🔞᠈verification channel. This action automatically creates a new, temporary private channel that is only visible to the user and the moderation team.
  2. Review the Submission: In this new channel, the user will submit their verification materials. Your primary role is to review their submission to ensure it meets our server's requirements.

Logs and History

All closed verification tickets are logged for future reference in the #verification-log channel.

Standard Actions & Responses

There are two primary ways to interact with and close a ticket.

For Incorrect Submissions

If a user submits a picture that does not meet our verification requirements (e.g., it's blurry, missing required elements, etc.), you can use a pre-written response to guide them.

  • Simply type the following in the channel:
    verifynow

  • The bot will automatically send a message explaining the correct format and asking the user to try again.

Closing a Ticket

Once the verification process is complete (either successful or denied), the ticket should be closed.

  • The easiest method: Click the "Close Ticket" button located in the message at the very top of the ticket channel.

Verification Ticket Commands

While the button is the primary way to close tickets, you may need these commands for more advanced management.

The prefix for these commands is &.
